Adding on to Nukeuser. What we are looking at is we have gotten our own server to run all of our games that we need to for our clan. We are running abviously Cpanel/WHM/cPGS. We are wanting to know and understand how if it is possible to add other games to the list. We want to be able to somehow use it like the supported games where when can delete the game and reload when needed. Do all the controls through the cPanel GUI and so on. Any help would be well appreciated.
well i guess we have to start looking for another control panel to use for our servers.
i am suprised to not get any responses!!!!!!
Sorry for the delay, if you'd read the "delayed" thread I posted you should have seen that cPGS will be suspended for the most part until cPanel 11 is released and the support levels have died down enough for me to resume working on it. Your question has been asked many times before, the answer is that you can add support for "unsupported" games if you know perl well enough to modify it. All of cPGS is open source in that you can modify it how you like, there are no binaries.
I've not yet worked in a magical way to support games without programming around them to handle their quirks. I plan on CoD2 support once I find a universal way to handle the 3.5GB server package required for it on systems with a 2GB file size limit. I can add Jedi Academy to the poll once I get the current voting options on it done.
thanx for the response
i didnt know there was a file limit problem.
does that affect BF2 because were having real trouble with that 1?
we have CSS and ET and BF2142 running though.
i appreciate the help and know u r busy. i myself am working 2 jobs to get bye.
much appreciated.
I don't think any of the other packages reach over 2GB in size, so I doubt that's the problem. Feel free to open up a support ticket and let me know the details of the problems and i can take a look at it.
ok cool we're trying a couple of things out and if they dont work i'll let u know
thanx
