Problem loading HLserver files for game server

The HL box is red and when i select it and choose a mirror and start... i get this

Anyone know if i missed any steps or what i need to do? im kinda new and im trying to host a few servers for myself and friends. thx!

It just means that it couldn't download the file itself, I have found that the cpanel staff link (number 5 ) is the most reliable (not talking down to the other sponsors, could just be my location). Going to the mirrored links manually and wget the files could get you a step further.

The error you are getting comes from /var/cpanel/cpgsd.pl , it's saying that it didn't find a usable hlds_server_file=/path/to/hlds.1158738017.server.tar.bz2 line in /var/cpanel/gameserv_global.cfg . Take a look there and verify it looks something like the above. Relatively soon 0.5.0 will be out and that file will only hold one directory, and all files are named much simpler. Mirrors will also be required to conform to a semi-standard method of updating to keep everything in sync across all mirrors to remove problems downloading from outdated mirrors.
For now, you may just want to get it from the link above manually and point hlds_server_file=/to/the/hlds.1158738017.server.tar.bz2 .
