    Default Request: Teamspeak 3 versions

Currerntly under 0.7.3 cPGS installs the 32 bit version of TS3 (linux) beta 20.. but the new version is beta 22.

Also is there a way to select 32 or 64 bit, as our box is running 64 bit linux, and we'd love to have the 64 bit TS3 server as an option. Would be nice if there were two entries in the cPGS for installing... Same with any other games/servers that have a 64 bit version..

(I know this is probably a future feature type thing, and that's cool.. just sorta putting it out there.. )

Working on it. Operationally the only difference between the 32 and 64bit server is .. there is no difference. All modern 64bit distros support 32bit binaries. The advantages of 64bit don't really shine until you start working with a lot of memory, really big numbers and databases. That said, it's a good candidate for testing distributing multiple versions of the same server type, so after I get the beta23 update done I'll probably at the 64bit release to the to-do list.

Default TS3 and it's beta versions

Darren, hey man, was hoping to ask.. does the TS3 installed via cpanel deal with the non profit license? or do we have to manually add that file? Also, the TS3 server I have running is using MySQL, does the cpanel install deal with this also??

or.. should I let the cpanel install TS3 and then drop in the license.dat and ts3server.ini and ts3db_mysql.ini files from the existing TS3 manual installation?

It would be very nice to have cpanel manage the TS3 server instead of launching it in a puddy screen

oh.. and finally... (sorry to toss you multiple questions)
Installing TS3 via cpanel, are we able to get the server query admin token key and super admin password that is only displayed on first run?

As far as the liscenses for TS3... It's been my understanding that you have to manually upload the .dat file that you receive from the TS3 people.. It's fairly simple though.. once you upload it, or create it (if you want to do it via SSH, and cut and paste from the email), the server automatically works with it.

As far as the token, or whatever they're calling it in the newest beta... There's a setting in the cPGS WHM admin panel that let's that be displayed. If that is turned off then the only way to find it is via the log files. If it's on, it stays on the Cpanel page for the TS3 server in the user side until it's used (IIRC)

Everything Cyber-Surfer said is correct. License files should be uploaded to the base directory of the server install, typically /home/user/.gameservers/ts3_0/ . Once I write in the ability to upload files to "remote" servers I'll probably add that in to the interface. The admin token will be in the interface if configured until it is used, it pulls it from the database. A few people I've seen have TS3 running with MySQL so I know it can be done, it seems to be they set up their DB in cPanel, then just add a few lines to the ts3server.ini I suggest going that route only if you have a TS3 that large and active where the speed gained connecting to MySQL over using sqlite3 overrides adding another point of failure.
