Teamspeak 3

Is it possible to get Teamspeak 3 updated to the latest release ? Been out for a little while now yet cPGS is still showing Beta 30 RC1 as the latest version. Server amd64 3.0.1 is the latest available on teamspeak.com.

Or if there are some instructions how to update it outside cPGS that would be great i tried overwriting the files but that stopped the server working all together.

Looking at the script the latest version is there now but does anyone have instructions on how to upgrade this without breaking the current servers configuration?

Yep I would defiantly like to see that as well. We are now one update away from servers not connecting with clients. Can't have that

Currently I'm rewriting the UI for WHM for v0.9.2, once that is done I can hopefully get in the UI for `/var/cpanel/cpgs/cpgs_pkg` with the -ap flag (`cpgs_pkg -h` for details) which uses packages built via `/var/cpanel/cpgs/make_patch`. Normally you guys won't use the make_patch tool but it's available for those who want/need to make custom patch packages before I get around to getting them released. If you don't want to use that mechanism right now, for TS3 just make a backup copy of your server and unpack the new release files on top of the existing one, making sure the config files are still OK (and copy from the backup if not) and that the file permissions are all OK. Feel free to put in a ticket for me for now if you run into trouble with it.

Unfortuanly darren I follow directions literally and alot of things that you are just supposed to know... doesn't help me because I may not know it.

For all of you idiots like me. Directions for TS3 update on linux server.

1. Backup ts folder
2. Upload most current TS3 Linux server pack
3. Stop TS server that you are going to update
4. Unpack the uploaded .tar file in the desired section.
5. Turn on TS server again

6. Check config files that they are OK - if not use backup copy.
