    Default TeamSpeak and Superadmin

    Greetings,
We've recently installed cPGS to try its features and see how things work.
In process we found out that when a user installs and starts TeamSpeak server, he gains access to SuperAdmin panel of TS.
The problem is that the user can setup and run as many separate TS servers through SuperAdmin panel as he wants to, which means that a host (we) has no controll over users actions in this term.
Is it supposed to be so ? or we've misconfigured something.
    Thank you in advance

This is something that I would like to see implemented with the reseller feature. This way only the reseller or root can control the max slots. Ive already made a comment about making a limit slot for resellers and it too should be applied to clients instead of Server Admin access being Handed out with each server, but then on the same token you could always run the TS server on your own account and then only make a single TS slave server off your master ts account.

    Thank you for answer.
I am not that familiar with discussions going over cPGS's features (yet still need to finish reading forum ), however I think it would be a bit problematic to limit the use of anything for SuperAdmins, as... well... thats why they are SuperAdmins haha and if done, limitations shall be done by TS developers not by cPGS (imho).

In current situation, your suggestion is the way to go I guess. Too bad cPGS'es TS support will not be involved that much in my scheme. I really do hope this is address in near future.

We have just set up gameserver hosting and offer TeamSpeak and I thought about the same thing. If we just allow users Teamspeak, they can create as many servers as they want through superadmin.

There are probably 2 solutions to this problem.

    1) When you create/install their Teamspeak, login and change the superadmin password.
    - I havn't tested to see if anyone could get in through superadmin via cpanel, but I didn't use this method.

    We did the following:
    2) Create 1 server with superadmin on a fake domain, like tsserver.com, This account will have Teamspeak and superadmin. From this account, we create teamspeak servers for our users and run them off different ports. (we run from ip:8767 to ip:8777). Theres also only 1 instance of Teamspeak running, but multiple servers running off of it.

So do your clients get to login to an admin or superadmin panel?

Currently the TS install for clients in cPanel gives them full superadmin access. This allows you to sell full TS servers to folks who want it. You can also do what Boriskag mentioned, installing one on your own "special" account and creating rooms and such for other users and set limits that way. Teamspeak is already configured to set limits very easily from within the teamspeak client. If the demand is big enough, I can try to look into setting up access to one master TS install for client accounts to use channels/rooms and such off of it.

It's not as much as creating channels and rooms, but creating "virtual servers" for your clients.

I am the only one with superadmin, so I create the clients servers through 1 install of Teamspeak on a dedicated account.

The client then has admin access to their server that I created, so they have access on setting server names, bans, user permissions etc.. They CAN NOT create more servers, etc. Thats only superadmin.

"So do your clients get to login to an admin or superadmin panel?"

They access their own servers "admin" panel, there is only 1 superadmin per install of TS, and we only have 1 install of ts for about 6 virtual ts servers.
Note: We run TS on a dedicated ip address, and different ports, I've noticed that if the ports are too close to each other, eg. 6787 and 6788, you will experience a lot of packet loss on the 6788 server, so space the ports sparingly.
