    Default TF2 startup time

Hey Darren, I was hoping to ask you (or others that might know)
how long should it take to start the Team Fortress 2 server and have it up and running? The server I have runs, but if I do a restart, it takes over 4 minutes to actually finish loading and thus running to be able to join to.

Now one clue I have is in the sourcemod log folder.
    Code:
    L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:15: SourceMod error session started
    L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:15: Info (map "cp_gravelpit") (file "errors_20100714.log")
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:15: [SM] Unable to load extension "game.tf2.ext": vstdlib_i486.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load extension "sdktools.ext": vstdlib_i486.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load plugin "basecomm.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load plugin "funcommands.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load plugin "funvotes.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load plugin "hlstatsx.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load plugin "playercommands.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
L 07/14/2010 - 17:36:16: [SM] Unable to load plugin "superlogs-tf2.smx": Required extension "SDKTools" file("sdktools.ext") not running
I have not had much luck finding out about SDKTools. I have found stuff about SDKhook but not tools. I am using the latest Sourcemod 1.3.3 and mmsource 1.8.2

What is a bit odd is my counter strike source is using the same stuff (even many more plugins) and it runs error free

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi RasterMan, thanks for the response sir. I Googled "nightly 1.4 builds for TF2" and didn't really see anything to hang my hat on.. although did get lots of fragmented results. Any chance you have a link that would get me to the download of what you are talking about.. Is this a different flavor of Sourcemod? Not really sure what you meant by your response, would you mind please elaborating.

Also , note to Darren, I know this is not really a cPanel problem and don't mean to abuse the forums... so if this post is in the gray area, allow me to pre apologize and thank you for letting me get this resolved in your forums

Sourcemod works for all. It will pick its own loaders on server startup in your case TF2.

I'm not sure about the mod, but if you have "autoupdate" enabled all the time, it will always take a few minutes to get the server started as it will do a full -verify_all update of the server files before each start. Most people who restart their server no more than once a day don't have a problem with this, but if you are testing stuff where you will be stopping/starting the server several times over, you may want to disable it.

Thanks Rasterman and Darren. This server is running error free and boots much quicker now. As Darren said, having auto update does slow it down some, but now instead if it taking over 4 minutes, it takes about 1 minute (quicker with auto update off) and using the nightly build of sourcemod version 1.4 I am running error free.
