TF2 troubles after Valve update July 20th

Well as we all know, the Valve updates have been rolling in and it seemed like the auto update was working fine untill tonight 7-20 -2010
I was running at 1.0.9.9 and saw my client updated tonight, so I reset the server and things went badly south. Even after several hours, the server did not start and the only thing that could be done was to Install the server, even though the files were there. So, without any other options, I install it.
With autoupdate off, the server will start, but runs at version 1.0.9.4
With autoupdate enabled, the server will not start and a "Start" button appears right away. So it seems like Team Fortress 2 is broken.
Is this just me or is everyone else experiencing this?

My TF2 server upgraded fine but it did take around 10 mins to update!

well stabbed at it again this morning. Totally uninstalled teh server and then reinstalled it and it finally autoupdated to 1.1.0.0
Was def. acting differently today than last night

I saw some chatter on the Valve mailing list about seg faults with updated servers, but upon reinstall they were OK. Anyone else running into issues still ?
