Default TS 2 cannot be installed

I've tried installing TS2 from all mirrors and they all failed as far as I can see.
    Code:
Could not open /home/dopeman/.gameservers/tss2_rc2_0/server.ini : No such file or directory Could not open /home/dopeman/.gameservers/tss2_rc2_0/server.ini : No such file or directory Could not open /home/dopeman/.gameservers/tss2_rc2_0/server.ini for writing : No such file or directory
What can I do to fix this?

    Thumbs up

    Hi,

Are you sure that you're uploading & installing the TS2 packages from the right directory ? The error clearly mentions that it can't find the INI configuration file.
Can you make sure that the file exists or rather try some older stable release, I doubt this being an issue with the latest release.

That's strange, the server.ini should be where the error says, and it should be created during install. Are you sure the account it's being installed on has enough quota space left ? If so, put in a ticket so I can take a look at it.

Will double check on it. I'm at school right now and have reinstalled my server's OS due to Fedora not working properly. CentOS should work a lot better, correct?

Yeh, CentOS is about as stable as it gets with cPanel, it's what a lot of devs use and is what the cPGS dev server runs.

Well it seemed to work on CentOS 5 Enterprise. Strange that it didn't extract properly on Fedora 8...?
    Might've just been my VPS.
