    Default unknown error

    Hi Guys,

Just got a couple of error, luckily only on our public servers, not clients.

I just did a server reboot.

And a couple of my server arent coming back up. In the cPGS menu it says they are running, but it doesnt have the stardard information like every other.

in has in command line: ro root=dev/md1

I go to click stop and it just continues to load for 5+ minutes.

The other server i have is very similiar except in the cmd line it says : spamd child
and when i click stop it displays this: Couldn't stop [3189] : Operation not permitted.

Ive rebooted the server before and havent experience this issue.
Darren if you need to take a look at the server, use the same details posted in my recent ticket if you still have it. if not let me know and il post a newone.

    Cheers,

    Chris Sutton

Interesting, it sounds like the pid files for those games remained after the reboot, however other processes have assumed those same pids now, hence why you are seeing the command lines from other processes and the users don't have permission to kill them. Right now, delete the pid files for the games that are showing up as running, but not showing connection information. I'm not sure how I can check for this in the restart script other than looking for specific strings in the command line text, but if that is the only way, so be it. Let me know if you have trouble deleting the pids.

Say for example you've got bf2 for userA and savage for user B acting funny like this, you'd want to rm the pid files, like

    `rm /home/userA/.gameservers/bf2_0/bf2.pid`
    and
    `rm /home/userB/.gameservers/savage_0/savage.pid`

If you don't know the pid file name, just ls for it

    `ls /home/userC/.gameservers/game_srvn/*.pid`

    Hope that helps
