This module requires a very new cPanel build, however it will allow you to update installed addon scripts via whm. You can choose to update one script, or all installs of a script.

are we supposed to guess what does "very new cpanel version" mean?
anyway, on
WHM 9.9.8 cPanel 9.9.8-R116
Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
i installed the module, and when i click on the link from the left frame of whm, it sends me to http://host:2086/cgi/addon_addonupdates.cgi
Page cannot be displayed.
COOL
Edge 127 has it working.

Very handy, especially since when PHPBB has security updates and require updates, clients don't know about it you can update there PHPBB handy
Invision v1.3 isnt on there I see.
has anyone tried to make a deal with IPB like a monthly leased licence for Unlimited Domains?
This is an excellent move .. thanks Nick!
Will this support phpbb only or oscommerce, advanced guestbook etc as well ? (I know autoupdating doesn't affect custom phpbb themes etc, but what about oscommerce/ag etc .. when people customize these, will forced updates change their appearances?)
does the same thing for me, any fix yet?Originally Posted by jester.ro
my stats:
WHM 9.9.7 cPanel 9.9.8-S6
RedHat Enterprise 3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0
upgrade
to the latest release or edge.
if've read my post, in R116 it was not available, and you have S6...
guess i should find out, what is the main purpose of this module? I want to stick with stable versions, so i will wait until they fix it.
I haven't even looked at it yet, so forgive me if it already has it, but an option to exclude certain users (some people modify or install hacks that could be broken by such an upgrade) from the upgrade would be a much needed addition to this module.
