It works really well! Easy to install using the hostgeekz tutorial.

The only question/problem I still have is to find a way to automatically get authenticated.

I have manually added the roundcube icon so customers have the option to click on 'horde', 'squirrelmail' or 'roundcube'. When clicking horde and squirrelmail, they are allready authenticated and go straight through. But when clicking roundcube, they get to the roundcube login screen. They will have to enter their email address and password again, and only then get to see their mails in roundcube.

Has anybody found out how to intergrate the authentication so the customers only need to authenticate once?

[edit] I read in another thread that linking to http://yourdomain.com:2082/roundcube/index.php will fix the double login issue.. i will try that. [edit]

[edit2] The above doesn't work. Port 2082 is cpanel login, so only if you use a cpanel account you get in.. but that doesn't authenticate you on the roundcube webmail. If you change the port to 2095, it gets you straight to the roundcube login page, which is not helpfull as this means there is still a double authentication [edit2]

[edit3] Got it fixed.. check this post for the double login fix: http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread....886#post220886 [edit3]

Curious as to why someone would want to provide another Webmail interface?

As Horde & SquirrelMail work very well and provide pretty much everything one would want in a Webmail Client, why go to the extra time & trouble of installing and maintaining another?

    Hi!
I uninstalled Roundcube and now, when I try to access Cpanel, Webmail and RVSkins page under WHM it shows a Hostgeeks page with instructions how to install Roundcube (?).
How can I solve this problem?
    Can anybody help me?

    Thank you.

roundcube has a better interface. It uses Ajax and because of that it works faster without reloading the whole interface everytime you do something.

Compared to horde, it is less powerful but much more faster. Horde have all the useless stuffs that most people doesn't use. It end up being more of a disturbance than useful. Still, horde is slow slow slow.

Squirrelmail is too plain for most people. It is faster than horde and works pretty well but like I said it's rather plain. It does have lots of features that you can add on. But horde have much crispier interface and faster too.

But I personally do not install roundcube just to replace or give more choice to my users. I installed roundcube to overcome the stupid port 2095 problem of webmail access. Working great so far.
