Default domain name starting with a digit.

    hello.

when i try to add a domain name that starts with a number i get a message that says

"sorry, your domain name must not begin with a digit"

i've been able to add number domains before, can anybody tell me how i might be able to fix this?

    thank you.

That's odd, since domain names can validly start with a digit.

Have you tried contacting cPanel support?

Are you sure it doesnt mean that Usernames cannot start with a number? I find typos quite often in cpanel messages.

no, it's definitely saying the domain name..

it IS strange because i didn't have this problem before.. if i'm hosted, does that mean i have to have the company i'm hosted through contact them since i don't have a license?

Try removing the number from the automaticaly generated username so it starts with a letter that should then allow you to create the domain.

Please see the following bug http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=3975 "Addon AND Parked Domains Javascript checking is incorrect"
