Executing shell commands/a PHP script with root permissions using the cPanel API?

I'd like to run shell commands on a remote computer with root permissions. So that I can for instance run commands like 'chown'. Is there any way to do this using authentication via cpanel? Either by directly sending shell commands as root somehow, or running a PHP script that calls the shell commands with root permissions?

Hi Kadence,

Matt has been extremely busy lately. He's taken responsibility for some development work that was escalated in our product planning. So my muchacho has been unable to put the final touches on his much anticipated blog/forum post about privilege escalation (within APIs). That said, I know it's nearly done because he presented some of the information at our annual conference this past week.
