Fantastico or Cpaddons ?

We are having so many problems with scripts in the cpaddons system that we are just about ready to disable it all and look for something else.

Has anyone else turned off or stopped using the Addon Scripts/CpAddons features and instead went with Fantastico ??.

We are using Freebsd here and I am told that Fantastico prefers Freebsd.

I would love to put Fantastico Deluxe as my script/addon handler for customers but I would like to hear from others who have gone this route recently...

Iv turned off all but chat. We run fantastico so why run cpanels version on Freebsd?
