    Question FLV streaming with cpanel

its my first post on this forum,
I searched but didnt found anything related with what I want to do.

    So here it is:

I have a dedicated server with WHM and cPanel 11
I have a player that support url for streaming video.
But I dont know how to do.

The format of streaming video the player accepts is FLV (flash).
Is there a way to make streaming video using cPanel and FLV files ?

Thanks everybody who could help or at least read my question.

FLV files are just flash video files. You need to create a swf video player that uses HTTP streaming.

If you streaming, as in live web cam, then you may need a media server, something like http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/compare/

Or you could look into HTTP pseudo-streaming

You could also look into p2p type stuff this way you can make a direct connection saving webspace, system resources and bandwidth of your server.

I have the streaming server you've mentioned, but how do you install it on the server under cPanel?

    Default mod_flvx

This one site talks about an apache module that will allow you to stream flash.

    http://journal.paul.querna.org/artic...7/11/mod_flvx/

I also want to know if I can stream flash from my cpanel VPS. Has anybody worked with this module? Will cpanel overwrite additional apache modules during upgrades if I install this?
