    I've purchaed an annual Installatron license for each of my cPanel installations, and so far I'm glad I did. It seems to be a great product backed by very responsive support. I'm impressed by your flexibility on pricing and features. You've won a customer. :-)
    Great news.

    Same here, great little addon for the cost. Just hope more types of addons are added into Installatron in the future.

    Yes, the Install Overview tool (in Administration) allows you to see all the installs on your server and upgrade any of them. Here's a picture:

    And more features listed here:

    Is it okay to do multiple installs of the same script in a single cPanel account? For example, if I want to set up a SugarCRM system for two companies I have, and do it under the same domain to take advantage of the SSL, would that be okay from a technical standpoint?

    For example, the systems would be installed at:

    www.mydomain.com/company1crm
    www.mydomain.com/company2crm

    Are there any issues with multiple installs of the same thing like this? I assume not but just wanted to check.

    Also, do you plan to add Magento e-commerce?

    I can't comment on whether it's okay from an SSL standpoint, but Installatron can install multiple copies on a single domain without any problem. It won't let you install multiple copies in the same directory of course, but multiple sub-dirs is fine.

    Magento is looking likely as the next official installer we'll be adding. Wouldn't like to give an ETA on it just yet though, we're working through a pretty big todo list.

    Great! Is it already available? I just updated Installatron but I still don't see Magento.

    Thanks.

    If you've run a recent Installatron update and dont find Magento in the install list it is probably auto-disabled by the Requirements filters. If filtering is enabled based on the PDO_MYSQL (the PHP library) setting, and PDO_MYSQL is marked as "off", then you won't see Magento in the install list.

    If you do have PDO_MYSQL installed, or have since installed it, you can change the setting in Administration >> Settings >> Requirements.

    Oh Rowan ........... you just became my Hero!!

    I wasn't aware of the Fantastico import feature from earlier, either. I am so glad I read this thread. I am going to be fast-forwarding our plans to get our servers updated to Apache2 etc. and also get Installatron on the rest of our servers ASAP.

    Hi,

    I enabled PDO_MYSQL and tried to install Magento, and I got this error:

    ==========
    Magento's installer failed with the following error:

    FAILED
    ERROR: Notice: Use of undefined constant MCRYPT_BLOWFISH - assumed 'MCRYPT_BLOWFISH' in /home/goldkeyw/public_html/magento/lib/Varien/Crypt/Mcrypt.php on line 56
    ==========

    What to do?

    Thanks!

    Mark, you don't have all of the modules and things installed to run Magento. It is a really picky piece of work ... it needs all kinds of odd things to function.

    I would recommend going to the Magento website and looking very closely at the server requirements. Go through the list item-by-item and recompile Apache with everything it needs.

    Thank you, will do that. If it's that picky, once you get it up and running...is it rock-solid?
