After last nights updates 5 servers are now producing this error hourly ~

Ideas?? Anyone??

Same problem with my servers too. Started last night at 3:01 am after the cPanel updates.

Guys, wanna the easier way?

Here it is!

Choose the long random password and execute this at shell under the root:

replace "\$dbpassword=\"\"" "\$dbpassword=\"tMe2vOQ7AwQ2\"" -- /etc/cron.hourly/modsecparse.pl

Then execute:

mysql

And enter at the prompt:

SET PASSWORD FOR "modsec" = PASSWORD('tMe2vOQ7AwQ2');
\q

Verify (this should no brings any errors):

/etc/cron.hourly/modsecparse.pl

In this example I assumed you are using the password tMe2vOQ7AwQ2

We did fixed every server of us with this simple hint
