Question Requesting license via API ?

    Hi All,

I hope this post is in the right spot.
I'm creating a server installation system and I'm busy integrating Control panels.
For that part I've got it working.
The next thing is to also request the license.
Is it possible to do such a thing?

Are you talking about a system where your software requests a license for cPanel/WHM automatically?

We do have a licensing API, but that API is exclusively available to cPanel Partner NOCs.

Sorry that i haven't replied sooner.

That's indeed what 'm heading to yeah.
Is it possible for me to implement that API into the system and if a user is indeed Cpanel Partner NOC then can make use of this?

    Kind regards,

Yes. Just have the Partner NOC you're working with provide you with the License API documentation so you know how to use those APIs.

    Hi David,

I don't have a Partner NOC that I'm working with.
The application I'm creating is from my own company for allot of other company's who want to use it.

Email sales@cpanel.net with information about the project you're working on, your desire to use the licensing API and the fact you're not a cPanel Partner NOC. This will allow me to better follow-up with this internally.

Just to follow up on this thread, we now have publicly available documentation for our Manage2 API on our website at:

    Manage2Api < ManageTwo < TWiki

Once you do have a partner noc account, inside of the interface you will see something called CPL available. This will provide both PHP and perl libraries for interfacing with our manage2 API.
