we have used it for years on our cpanel servers, right now there add-on for SMF is V1.0.7, and if your wanting to upgrade from that, its easy, just download the new SMF from the site and follow upgrade procedures as normal

The autoinstaller is currently 1.0.8 and should be upgraded to smf 1.1 final
