Updating Addon Scripts

I have tried many times to update the addon scripts, the addon scripts in WHM once checked in are supposed to stay updated by themselves but does not seem to keep updated.

Is there any script that can be run in order to update the addon scripts?

To an extent it does depend what version/release of cPanel you're running. You should be running a version of the v10 trees as the update system changed between v9 and v10. If you want to force an update you can run:

/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/bin/whostmgr2 --updateaddons

But, how can i update.. software installtion e.g. PHPBB is upto 2.0.16 but cpanel only has .15 .. Can i manually add the new version or do i have to wait for CPanel to do this?

what script is used to identify the various versions of scripts???

Ive found that the mamager has been identifying various forums scripts as phpBB even though they are completely different scripts...
