Can anyone offer a good 3rd party email program. I have clients who are interested in getting a better laid out email system. Which I think is good. Horde is not very customization.
So any thoughts?
Thanks

Have you tried atmail open that can be added in WHM > Manage Plugins area? It is the 4th webmail program we provide (Horde, Squirrelmail and Roundcube being the other 3).

Yea i saw that. I was thinking of giving that a try. Which one is your favorite? Still interested in seeing a good alternative.
Thanks
It depends on whether you want my opinion from a system administration standpoint versus a user standpoint. Squirrelmail rarely breaks because it uses flat files without any SQL at all. Due to the simplicity, it doesn't have a lot of options, but it also rarely doesn't work.
From a looks standpoint, atmail open does look pretty good, but it doesn't have error handling by default. This makes it rather esoteric for troubleshooting purposes.
I would say that Roundcube is likely the most used of the webmail clients. There is also decent logging for Roundcube on errors at /var/cpanel/roundcube/log location.

Ok while these are great, their user interface is very basic. I am just looking at all the options, both free and paid solutions. Thanks Tristan for your input. Any other paid or free email programs that are good?
Hi.
i would like to know if Atmail Webmail (under licence) can be installed and fully compatible with cPanel ?
Atmail - Online Store
Thanks.
cPanel only provides the open source version of Atmail as a plugin. However, you could implement the commercial version yourself using the instructions available on the following document:
