Accessing Webmail

I want to set up access to webmail via browser, rather than users having to access CPanel, I realise that I can do the domain.com/webmail link, but that shows all three mail boxes, horde, squirrelmail & neomail and I only want one to be available. I tried the following links that I have pasted below from a thread on the forum, but I find that I can't login to a specific email account, I have to provide my CPanel login details to login so it seems and it goes straight into the inbox, but of what email account I don't know. I have set up two email accounts on my domain, and yet whatever webmail I choose to access out of the 3 it doesnt seem to offer me a choice of the email accounts I have set up.

What I'm really trying to achieve, is to have just one webmail box accessable, either horde, squirelmail or neomail and to be able to have a login that goes from my website to the webmail box. I also want it to provide a choice of all the email accounts on that domain, I don't really understand why its not doing that anyway, is it possible I havent set something up on CPanel correctly? I don't seem to have the facility in whm to disable any of the webmail boxes, as another thread that I read suggested to do. I am new to this, and would appreciate any help.

This is available only to 'root' - looks like you have a reseller account.

Yes, it is a reseller account. Is there anyone out there who might be able to make a few suggestions as to what I could do in regards to my question about the webmail? Thanks

Since you have a reseller account and not root access, you cannot change the login requirements or the webmail scripts displayed.

Your best option is to install http://squirrelmail.org in your main domain account and use it. Login can be accomplished by placing a small bit of code on your site. One very important point to remember is that any account you create that doesn't have a cpanel account will need to login with the entire email address and password.

I recall there being a MUCH shorter way to get into Squirrelmail - essentially just going to a special port - but I can't find what it was. Any recollections?

The links you provided for Horde and NeoMail should work fine, so long as you use the complete email address as the username.

You can also setup either a subdomain redirect or a plain redirect (webmail.domain.com or domain.com/redirect) and point them to the link you want. Then you'll only see the interface you've linked to.

Thanks for the reply, I would like to try this, but i have never installed anything before that isnt already available in my domain account. After download, where do I install it on CPanel and is there anything I would need to do apart from the upload to make it function correctly.

Most of the time it works without change. Download the the file to your computer and uncompress it, then upload the directory to your public_html folder. You can then rename the folder and try it. Check the website for more complete documentation.
