You might want to go over your settings a bit closer to find the section on letting users subscribe. On this page, search for the word subscibe for details) If enabled you should find the subscribe area on a page at a URL similar to this:
/http://yourdomainwithemaillist.com/mailman/listinfo/listname_yourdomainwithemaillist.com
