The default port for the webmail access through SSL is 2096.

The 443 port is for the HTTP access through SSL (HTTPS).

It is used for the secure access to your web site and for the protection of your visitors' sensitive information.

The webmail service usually uses a different SSL installed for it and the cPanel. It can be a self signed, a shared or a private one.

When you access the webmail service the connection will be established through the corresponding ports hardcoded in the cPanel software: 2095 (without SSL support) and 2096 (with SSL support).

You can not access the cPanel webmail service through port 443 without further modifications in the cPanel code.

    Thank you sven.

We 've just did migration of many websites from EnsimX to cPanel and lot of customers were used to reach their webmails from behing their companies proxy's and firewalls. Standard port was ok, but por 2096 is problem for them.
