I've got ASSP installed on my server and have disabled Spamassassin. ASSP is fantastic, I highly recommend it.

Note: I am only recommending ASSP, not the services of Radio Head, because I installed ASSP myself. Being able to access it via Cpanel sounds like a great idea, though.

My scripts creates a flat file with all local email (included forwarders) and localdomain. The scripts executes 1000 email each second (on a slow server) ,
so I set a 30 minute cron to mantain the list updated. Using the flat file assp will accept and send messages only from this list (local email and local domain) . There are several advantages using this .
There are other scripts for cpanel web interface ; clients can enable/disable several spam filters , and most important they can see log, to see rejected and spam tagged email .
On the log file , there is a button to put in whitelist a false positive .
I also install assp to run as a service .

The really big advantage of assp is the really really LOW cpu usage compared with spamassasin or other similar server wide spam configurations.

On an old server Pentium IV celeron 1.8 Ghz with 1 GB ram , over 120 acounts , assp is currently processing a medium of 28970 email /day with a medium cpu usage of only 17.63% !!

Using spamassasin server wide the same server was near to crash each time , and I was forced to disable clamd . Talking about features , there is no comparison between spamassin and assp. assp simple beats all .

Talking about cpu usage , there is no comparison with other server wide spam/antivirus configurations. Did you try to install a server wide antivirus/antispam solution on a pentium IV celeron with 1 GB ram and with about 8000 emai/day and http traffic ?
If you try it , your server will simply crash . If I am not saying the true , reply here !

With assp , I am having a 13.33% cpu average after 25 days of usage !!!

What features offer assp ? No comparison with other server wide solutions, simply read the features list from assp web site ...

As soon I will have the time , I will write an how to , so you will be able to install it yourself on cpanel , and I'll sell only php scripts which will permit you to use assp per domain on a cpanel server , and will permit you to offer an assp cpanel interface ,
plus detailed log of rejected/tagged email per domains and per subdomains.

For now I offer only installation service simply because I have no time to write
an how to. I will do it as possible , after the holidays.

The installation is "set and forget" . Once installed you have only to update
assp perl file and the script interface files when available.
If you don't like it you need simply to remove the assp folder (assp is only a perl file !)

Assp requires a clean exim file (whm advanced settings all fileds empty except of one line to connect with assp) , since it does all the spam work before
the mail reach exim !! The exim work will be only to receive and send email.

The emails reach assp > assp controls the emails > and then the email arrives to exim !

dictionary attacks ? forget it ! Only existent/local email will receive email !
rbl confused exim settings ? forget it !
exim with advanced confused settings ? forget it !
spamassasin overloading the server ? forget it !
server load problems ? forget it !
other other advantages !

try it and you'll love it !

My "how to" is to install assp with a cpanel web interface which permits to use assp per domain .

did you finish this how-to. I have assp running on my server, but i need it to be a per domain solution or at least send emails marked as spam to appropriate user folders. anybody got a solution to this?
