Default Blank page for both Horde & SquirrelMail

I've seen a few posts that talk about this problem, but none that explain how to resolve it (!)

    I'm using:

    WHM 11.11.0 cPanel 11.15.0-R18033
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.5 i686 on xen - WHM X v3.1.0

I'm new to cPanel (and JTL) and I'm a bit overwhelmed as to where to start. Do I have to re-compile PHP? If so, where do I do this? I can only see how to change the php configuration (Main >> Service Configuration >> PHP Configuration Editor).

Any help with directions on where to find it within cPanel would be greatly appreciated!

That PHP configuration editor is for the PHP that is running on Apache, not cpsrvd (which servers cPanel, WHM and webmail).

To recompile the PHP for cpsrvd you would run /scripts/makecpphp via SSH as root.

The php.ini for cpsrvd is located at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc/php.ini if you wish to edit it.

Thanks for explaining the different levels of php running on the system. I guess what my question really is: How do you resolve getting a blank page when attempting to access either Horde or SquirrelMail?

Since I couldn't get access to Horde or SquirrelMail, I decided to try to install RoundCube. It worked easily and simply, by following the directions here: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Howto_Install. In their upcoming releases, when RoundCube includes html and rich-text composition of emails, it will be very competitive with some high-end packages out there. Thanks for your help.
