Cannot delete folders in Roundcube

Client has some folders still visible in RoundCube webmail that they previously deleted and which are correctly no longer visible in Horde. How do we get rid of them in RoundCube as the usual folder management/delete options don't show these, but they remain visible in the root?

Client comment:

I can see folders in the root on the left of the email screen that then don't appear in the folders list/tab in personal preferences. I have previously deleted some in there, but the ones I don't need now, don't appear on the folders list where you'd usually go to delete/create. Odd.

how you access your roundcube as default cpanel user or as an email account you have created later ?
