    Default Can't access any mail

    When i try to access my mail i get these errors;

    Horde - Login failed because your username or password was entered incorrectly.

    Roundcube - Connection dropped by IMAP server.

    SquirrelMail - ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.

    The password + username are both fine and i have had this issue for months. I'm currently running CPanel Accelerated 2.

    Are you logging into Webmail using the full email account as your emailsusername@domain.com or root user for the domains email accounts?

    When i login i use contact@mydomain.co.uk

    The only email that allows me to an inbox is the root email. I have tried several sub accounts but nothing.

    The root email is unpublis@server.anotherdomain.com

    When you login to Webmail using that contact@ email address, if it won't let you login properly, you might want to check that the email account was created properly. It has to be an actual email account.

    There is no root email account login. Logging into Webmail as the root user, you'd only need the cPanel user name and cPanel users password. This should get you in to view all email accounts on that cPanel account, but will not actually be useful to send emails from within Webmail unless some additional settings are setup, from inside Webmail.

    The domain you posted (edited by me) that you're using for login doesn't resolve/open in my browser. I suggest you get in touch with your host to find out why. Fix that domain, email should hopefully then work.

    Please click on the error message and provide the actual error it shows up at that point. Usually that [an error...] message is clickable and provides more content when you click on it.

    Sorry the the HUGE time it has taken me to answer!

    When i go to create a new email account this is the error i get;

    Error
    JSON parse failed.
    If i then refresh the page the account is created but obviously won't work. I can't access any mail account but i don't remember this ever happening when i created the first 2. I can delete all the mail accounts i have created and start from fresh no problem as long as i get a fix .

    It also says under "Default Email account" under "Usage"

    Again, please click on the [an error occurred while processing this directive] message for the full error message as I requested previously. It should be clickable.

    The default address is failing to load on cPanel > Email Accounts area because /home/unpublis/mail/cur directory doesn't exist. Does /home/unpublis/mail itself exist? If /home/unpublis/mail/cur doesn't exist, simply create that folder to fix the error message. It seems highly likely someone deleted the necessary folder(s) if that folder isn't there. Thanks!

    I get a permission error when trying to do this:

    550 Can't create directory: Permission denied

    I then tried to set the folder to 777 to allow write access and it then said the same message when trying to change it.

    I highly suggest contacting your hosting provider. The folder either isn't owned by your user or doesn't exist properly. Only your host can fix this at this point.

    Okay i have fixed all the error issues and now there are no errors listed where they were before but i still get the same IMAP error when trying to access my webmail. I even removed the email and created it again but when i did i got a JSON parse error.

    EDIT: When i try to open the default email account aswell there is now this

    ERROR: Could not complete request.
    Query: SELECT "INBOX"
    Reason Given: Unable to open this mailbox.

    It will require software update which can be done with the help of your host. So better if you contact your host and ask them to update the necessary packages if necessary.
