    Default clamav failed @ Fri Mar 14 13:37:04 2008. A restart was attempted automagically.

    every few minutes Im getting these emails

    Everything was fine till I recently rebooted to terminate some stuck FTP sessions

    Any ideas ?

    turns out it was the /tmp/clamd was a folder not a socket

    not sure how that happened but its fixed

    just stopped the mailscanner and exim services - deleted the folder - and restarted the services
