compatible/advisable email marketing tool for a cp/whm webhost

Hi guys,

I am doing lots of research on this as I have a client who wants to use my services to handle email marketing campaigns.

I am aware of the implications - from traffic and load to blacklisting and legal - of mismanaged email marketing and am therefore being very careful about how I commit to handling this client.

I suspect I want to run a php based emailer which will accept database or csv type lists and assist with the building and delivery of the message payload.

The list manager will need to handle rejects, unsubscribes and so on. There are a huge number out there and yet I wonder what the whm hosts here feel about the different offerings, if they simply steer clear of it altogether or what?

• Most of my customers use a cms
  we install for them some specific modules like icymailing for joomla by example.
• Customers able to dev manage their own solutions.
• For nobs who request just a standalone service, it's easy to add a white label service like campaignmonitor.com

For a hosting company or sales service company like us, the main matter is most to have a newsletter & autoresponder solution which match with customer's needs and budgets. The better solution will probably be a service with charged options.

Of course newsletters software and services with api exist, but we have not find the ROI for a dev. so we deal with each customer's request.

I'm sure that a marketing addon will be an interesting market for a cpanel addon provider, I'm open to discussion and partnership if one of them is interested by that.
