Default custom mail server configuration is being overwritten constantly

    Hello,

I've been changing the default CPanel configuration of my mail server to remove the 250-AUTH PLAIN LOGIN option and disallow plain text authentication.

However, the configuration seems to be reverting to default. Does anyone know how I can permanently disable the plain text authentication option in my cpanel appliance?

    thanks!

my guys are doing it from the command line, I think. Which obviously doesn't work well because the config files get re-written after every update.

Is there a way to remove the clear-text authentication method from the management console? I think we're using exim. I was looking through the other posts on the forum, but it seems that similar methods were used. or maybe I'm not understanding...

To have custom Exim configuration changes are saved please ensure to apply the modifications via the Exim Configuration Editor in WHM, such as via the following menu path (with linked documentation):
WHM: Main >> Service Configuration >> Exim Configuration Editor >> Advanced Editor
