Disable email for an account

Hi,

Is it possible to disable the email for an account and just have the web hosting? The domain has an exchange server with MX records set to that. The problem is that any mail sent from the server stays on the server as the server thinks the mails local. I want to disable the email for the domain so that mail gets sent to the correct place.

Remove the domain from /etc/localdomains and Add the domain into /etc/remotedomains. This will prevent local storage and seek the external mx records.

Do you run WHM11? Check out local DNS entry for that domain also and update with correct MX information. When you will save it, WHM should automatically remove domain information from /etc/localdomains and put it to /etc/remotedomains. Also make sure, that your server is not listed as first one in /etc/resolv.conf, so that outgoing emails would get correct, worldwide, MX information.
