Default Domain ending, still want emails??

    Hi guys,

Sorry in advanced if this is a constant question that has been answered alot, i could not find it myself

If there is a thread covering my question please redirect me there.

Ok to i have web hosting and domain set up using cPanel (Phasewave DJ Services) which has three pop3 email accounts on it.
I am Rebranding this company at the moment and will soon have a new host and domain also using cPanel (upbeatevents.co.uk).

Basically i want to keep all of my emails that got sent to my @phasewave.co.uk emails, but due to rebranding i don't want to keep this domain name and hosting going(paying). When i cancel this hosting service, do i lose all my emails? is there anyway to just put a forwarder on the emails to my new email accounts so clients that email phasewave still come through to me(@upbeatevents.co.uk)?

If you don't understand what i mean i will try to explain clearer.

    Thanks very much

If you want to start forwarding emails, you could, but you cannot maintain emails going to that old domain if you end up having the old domain expire. Now, this doesn't mean you have to keep hosting the domain on that old account. You could move the domain to the new account and park it on that new account, setup the forwarders for the one domain to the other, then remove the domain at the old hosting.

Ok Great thanks for the info.

Are there any good guides out there to help me do this?
E.g. the transfer of domain names, and parking them etc?

    Thanks once again

We have documentation on parking a domain:

    Parked Domains

As for transferring the domain, this would depend on your domain registrar, since all it really involves is changing the nameservers you have setup there to point your domain to the new machine.
