Dovecot setting question

what is commonly used for login_max_connections?

I have login_max_connections: 500 but I think its too high.. It means each process can handle up to 500 logins right?

I also have this:
login_processes_count: 20
login_max_processes_count: 75


Usually servers with 1200+ of small sites

Also, does 127.0.0.1 (webmail) counts for them ->
mail_max_userip_connections(default): 20
mail_max_userip_connections(imap): 20
mail_max_userip_connections(pop3): 5
?
