Here is a new one.
A client tried to change his email account password, it worked, but his email account disappeared from cPanel. The account is still active (he is getting mail), but just doesn't show up in cPanel.
Ideas?

Must have been a temporary bug introduced by yesterday's upcp, as after today's, it has fixed itself!?
To fix this issue you have to recreate the account after moving the entries of the account from
/home/username/etc/domainname/passwd
/home/username/etc/domainname/shadow
Also keep a backup of the folder so that you could recover the old mails of the account
/home/username/mail/domainname/popusername/
Same problem today - changed password for mail account via cpanel and got the error that the mailbox already existed, and then it vanished from the cpanel screen.
Changing the password via http://www.configserver.com/cp/cmm.html made the mail account visible again in cpanel
I've same problem but without changing passwords !!
all email accounts disappeared from cPanel, but when my client try to login to any account it works, but the emails disappeared too :S !
