Email filter results in all email being sent to /dev/null/

After relentless spam especially 'Viagra' adverts, I set up the email filter(s) after the password was entered for that email account. The email filter caused ALL email not just those with 'Viagra' to be sent down the earth wire. Is there any way to get this filter system working correctly, or must I keep shovelling spam into the trash?

What does your actual message filter look like? If you can exactly state how you created the filter, someone may be able to tell you where you went wrong on creating that filter.
