    Default Email Issue

    Hello;

    I have set :fail: option under catch all option so that in case no email user exists than mail bounces back to the sender signifying that no such user exists. NOw as long as we are using oputlook or any other mail client this works well and the sender does recieves back the initmation. This communicationis among the user of the same domain.

    But when the same user is using webmail and sending mail to any such id on the same domain which does not exists he never recieves such intimation. The mail is created but it goes to default account even thought :fail: option has been set there. Hence any user who are using webmail and communicating never get to know the failure oruser non-existatn notice.

    Can anyone suggest the remedy for the same?

    Default

    I'm having the same issue. All failure notices go to the default account even though they are set to :fail: no such address here. Any ideas? Is this a bug?

    Default

    So, you have the Default Alias set to :fail: and that does not work? Email sent to a non-existent email address on that domain goes to the main account? That should never happen. You should make sure that you definitely have the Default Alias set to :fail: with both the leading and trailing colons.
