    Default EMail Issues

    Hiya,

Some of our older full boxes have problems with mail overloading, mostly spam, mostly relays and unauthenticated sent mail.

Whats the best way to stop relaying mail completely, and forcing people to authenticate to pop3 user account before sending?

Is the spam being sent from scripts on your own server or from outside machines? I ask because SMTP authentication is enabled by default.

    Hiya,

Most seems to be relayed from other servers and then through ours (causing us to be blacklisted)
