    Default email security policy questions

I see in CPanel there is a security policy set of verification questions that make yo0u think that you could somehow get your password sent to you or reset thru some interface - but I cant for the life of me find that interface

failing the password 5 times in webmail just generates an error

i searched here and I looked in the documentation, both here and in the help in cpanel - its as if the feature doesnt exist

is this supposed to work ?

    hwo does it work ?

At this time, we do not have security questions integrated into the cPanel, WHM or webmail interfaces. There is a "change password" functionality that will mail you a new password for cPanel, WHM and possibly webmail, if you click cancel to the HTTP Authentication dialog. However, frequently, this setting is disabled thus making you rely on someone else to change your password for you. In the case of a webmail account, this will be whoever handles the cPanel account. In the case of a cPanel or WHM account, this would be your hosting provider.

Im the hosting provider on a dedicated server

If you cancel the http authentication you get login window with email and password

Im interpreting what you said to mean that the "security policy " questions are at this point not implemented to do anything that the end user or even I as the admin can see

Security questions simply are not implemented at this point. We're still using user/pass authentication.
