    Default Exim on another IP permanently?

    Am trying to put Exim on another IP, I have edited exim.conf and under remote_smtp: i have put
    interface = new-IP
    But it doesn't stick, if I restart Exim it reverts to the previous configuration. How to make changes permanent? and how to make changes show in WHM Exim advanced editor?

    Hello,

    This question was only just asked the other day.

    Service Configuration > Service Manager

    Disable Exim

    Enable Exim on another port.

    OH, sorry.

    I totally lost the plot!

    If you use WHM's exim configration when exim updates etc it will keep your settings

    That part of WHMs exim's config (remote_smtp, interface = ) is not editable. You can only edit it from a consol.

    Thanks for the thought, but I have read elsewhere on this forum that such a cpanel Exim update removes permissions before it updates.
