Exim - cannot send the message

Hello

I saw, that in my exim_mainlog file, accouring the following error:

unexpected disconnection while reading SMTP command from ( ADDRES and IP here)

On server is about 350 mail account's. There is many other services like httpd,named.ftp.
This error accured 5-10 times, a minute ! ;/

I had the similar problem with reciving the mails from other server, but I solve it, with adding the /scripts/restartsrv_cppop to the crontab, whitch is restarting the pop service, for 3 hours -but I don't thing it's healthly for server.

Any sugeestions ?

I have the same problem , I think began this afternoon after upgrading to the last release version.

Try to increase the --max-children= option in exim init start script. It shouid be 5-10 -try change it to 18 -it should a little solve. Probabily exim dont keep up with the spamassasin process, and they should be increased,
