Hi there,
Can anyone tell me where the connection timeout value comes from... see the following log:
Message 1NoLAp-0006Bq-PE is not frozen
LOG: MAIN
cwd=/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot 4 args: /usr/sbin/exim -v -M 1NoLAp-0006Bq-PE
delivering 1NoLAp-0006Bq-PE
Connecting to mail10.****.com [64.34.174.151]:25 ... connected // {took 10 seconds}

SMTP timeout while connected to mail10.****.com [**.**.174.151] after initial connection: Connection timed out // {took over 5 minutes to time out - see below}
Connecting to mail10.***.com [208.77.101.79]:25 ... failed: Connection timed out (timeout=5m)
LOG: MAIN
What I'm referring to is the "timeout=5m" in the above log. I can't find any reference to this in exim configuration, well nothing that has any effect anyway. I don't know if this is a cPanel setting or it's getting info directly from the zone records or what. But, the point is, the mail server should NOT wait 5 MINUTES to timeout on a connection, particularly if there is another MX record it can try (and does eventually).
Please help me find where to change this to maybe 15s.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Robyn
