Forward emails and auto delete from inbox.

I recently took on an account that used plesk, I believe.

They had about 50 email addresses being forwarded to gmail accounts.
Plesk did not require the accounts to be created so there was no inbox to fill up only a forward.

The way I have it set up now in cpanel forwarding works but the in boxes just keep filling up.
Do I have any options or a way to make cpanel delete messages in inbox after they are forwarded?

Thanks

Do not make actual email accounts, just the forwarders.

That should not happen. If a forwarder is set up without an accompanying mail account, mail sent to that address should be forwarded to wherever the forwarder points to, not to the catch-all.

I should never trust what I am told, instead investigate it myself.

You are correct cPanelDavidG & nyjimbo.
Thank you, deleting accounts and leaving forwards worked perfectly.

Issue resolved.
