    Default Help email forwarding problem

I'm having trouble with one of my sites i have two websites controlled by cpanel one is using the email addresses and uses pop3 the other one is my exchange server. when the pop3 sends an email it gets kicked back saying no such user. I need to figure out how to forward those emails to my server instead of the name server that is provided by cpanel?

does any of this make sense?

Have you tried editing the MX entry for that domain whose email is hosted on the exchange server such that the MX entry points to the exchange server? You can do this by going to the cPanel interface and in the Mail section click on "MX entry"

You would actually use the hostname of the server rather than it's IP address.

The purpose of a MX record is to indicate which server should handle the mail for a particular domain. Note, by setting another server to handle mail for a domain, you lose all cPanel integration with the mail functionality for that domain (e.g. forwarders, create email accounts etc.).

If you make a mistake with a MX record, it's no big deal. You can always remove or edit your custom MX record at any time in the future via cPanel.

    Default ok i did it

will this take a while to work like other mx records?

    and what about this
Always accept mail locally even if the primary mx does not point to this server.

because i tested and still not working?

You need to ask the folks that run the Exchange server what they recommend you set your MX entry to.

That setting is if you want mail sent from that web hosting server to be delivered to that web hosting server regardless of what you set your MX entry to. You likely do not want to do this.
