    Exclamation Help with programming for email form

    I know I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what.

    You can view the page at www.greendharti.com/contact.html

    I know that the problem line is:

    <form action="http://www.greendharti.com/bin/cgimail/wwwdev/cgiemail/contact.html" method="post" name="ContactUs">

    I tried to figure out what I needed to put from the help forms on the site but I KNOW that's not right.

    Help please.

    I think you'd be much better off using a form mailer script of some sort, like a Perl or PHP script. Alot easier to configure and a lot more secure. that cgiemail thing never seem to work properly.

    Just my 2cents worth

    Well I already have it set up so I'm not looking to switch to something else - I just need help with the current script.

    html won't process a form. It's not a programming or scripting language. You'll need to use something like cgi or php to process the form and do what you want with it.

    The form action should be the location of the file that's going to process the form. This can be a URL or location from the root directory.

    Yes, I'm trying to use CGI.

    I went to the "help" section on what to put and didn't get an answer - it's giving me that url.

    Here it is:

    You'll have to look on your site, to check the location of cgiemail but I believe it may be http://www.greendharti.com/cgi-bin/cgiemail

    Thank you very much, that helped me get it working.

    Now I'm having issues because it won't send mail - but it's telling me we don't have the right files installed to send it?

    Ugh, I've never seen so many problems with forms! I normally host with Godaddy and have never had issues.

    Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
