    Default How to backup emails

    Hi everyone,

    My e-mails take most of space on my server, so i would like to make a backup and delete my old emails.

    I'd like to know what files i'have to save and delete then??

    You can download the emails using any email client tool at the local machine and then remove the emails from the server.

    i thought about this solution but i don't know the file name that i've to delete to make more space after the backup, that's my little issue :s

    /var/spool/mail - Generally user emails are stored here

    Hi JP,
    When you download your emails to your local machine using POP3, all your email messages will be removed from the server so it should clean up by itself.
