how can I increase sent mail size limit?

At times I have files that are over 5megs. But when I try to send anything over 5megs I get an error. How AND WHERE do/can I increase the size of my sent mail. Also...as an fyi...I'm a duh at this so if possible please explain so an 8 yr old can understand...thanks in advance...ps...using Horde mail

Do you have root access to your server? You would need to increase the upload_max_filesize and post_max_filesize settings in php.ini. If you purchased your hosting site from a webhosting company you will need to contact them to see if they will change the settings. These forums are for support of cPanel which is the software used on the server.
