    Default How to install courier

    * I run /scripts/convert2maildir
    * I get
    Code:
    Please watch /var/cpanel/updatelogs/maildirconversion.1189968759 for results.
    Converting..................[...]...Conversion Complete.
    * I look at /var/cpanel/updatelogs/maildirconversion.1189968759, it says:
    Code:
    Unable to install courier. at /usr/local/cpanel/bin/maildirupdate line 62.
    * I do
    Code:
    root@server [~]# /scripts/courierup
    root@server [~]# /scripts/courierup --force
    * nothing happens, no output.
    * I run /scripts/convert2maildir, same thing.

    I guess I need to install courier, but how ?

    thanks. There are two things with imap in them: imaps and cpimap

    imaps was disabled
    cpimap was enabled

    I enabled imaps

    restarted it with xinetd (/etc/rc.d/init.d/xinetd restart)
    tried /scripts/courerup again and still nothing.

    from CPanel's Release Notes:

    Code:
    cPanel 11 is the last version of cPanel with support for the
    mbox mail box format. To convert from mbox to maildir,
    use /scripts/convert2maildir. Doing this before upgrading to
    cPanel 11 is strongly recommended.
    Well .. umm.. /scripts/upcp needs to CHECK for that before proceeding with the upgrade. Don't know, maybe it does.

    I since then got new server since last one was borked and had to transfer my entire account there. I've had another issue, where I couldn't remove /etc/exim.conf. I thought that perhaps sticky bit was set on it, but chattr command wasn't working. I've had an older Linux system, so maybe that's why.
