Hello,
I'm interested in the practice of sending various dedicated-ip customers' mail via their own IP number. I have read that the file /etc/mailips must be edited accordingly. However that file doesn't exist on this server. Does anyone know if it is as easy as just creating the file /etc/mailips file and adding the necessary entries?
This particular box is running WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.17.4-C19834.
As a comparison, the file named /etc/remotedomains didn't exist either, but upon adding it with the applicable content, the customers who hosted their own e-mail exchange servers were totally functional.
So, in summary, is it ok to just add /etc/mailips and its content, along with checking to be sure that exim.conf has
interface = ${if exists {/etc/mailips}{${lookup{$sender_address_domain}lsearch{/etc/mailips}{$value}{}}}{}} ????
Any help appreciated.
