Mail Not Working...

I bought Cpanel yesterday and the whole installation process went OK. I created a domain and a mail to check the webmail and stuff... I entered the right username and password and the webmail (both horde and squirrel) said that I had a wrong password. Then I did some googling and I came across this article : http://www.webhostingtalk.com/archiv.../246301-1.html and it said cpanel 9 and higher. I didnt know if the latest cpanel had the same problems or not...

Secondly I added this email account to my Outlook as IMAP and the error I received was that it was not able to synchronize with the server.

So, on both counts, my mail server doesnt seem to be working...

Is there something I am missing here or is there a fix?

First off is the domain resolving to the server?

Can you ping mail.domain.com?

What errors are you getting in Outlook?

Are you name servers setup? (That is if you are hosting your own DNS).

are you using the whole email address as the username? That's a requirement...

Was some questions and solutions not discussed in the forum ?

Type in IP adresses instead servernames.
Helpful maybe to Outlook is the switch, don`t delete eMails from server.
eMail which was deleted from Server can Synchronized only one time.
